A hero should never kill anyone. Not even the worst of villains. Not even the monsters who deserve it most.
Gangyu never understood why his team of heroes lived by those words. Villains murdered innocents. Villains destroyed lives. Villains laughed while heroes held back. The rules never made sense to him, but he tried his best to follow them.
He gritted his teeth. He pulled his punches. He watched the worst criminals of Ruculus get locked away instead of put down.
Then the villain who wiped out his squad killed his brother. In prison. While serving a sentence that should have kept him contained. The system failed. The rules failed. The heroes who refused to kill failed.
Gangyu breaks his vow.
He enters Ruculus, the notorious prison where the world’s most dangerous villains are held, with a new title and a new mission. He is the Executioner. He has permission to kill.
Now he must fight his way through the worst humanity has to offer. Villains with impossible powers. Criminals with nothing left to lose. And at the top of the food chain, the man who murdered his brother.
Can one man with a broken vow carve through an entire prison of monsters to get his revenge, or will the darkness of Ruculus consume him before he reaches his target?
