DMCA Policy

Effective Date: June 2, 2026
Website: https://comicso.com (the “Site”)

Comicso.com respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512, and similar international copyright laws. This policy outlines how copyright holders can report alleged infringement and how we respond to such notices.

1. Our Commitment

We do not host copyrighted files on our own servers unless explicitly authorized. Content displayed on Comicso.com (manga, manhwa, scanlations, images) is embedded from third-party sources or shared by users/fans under fair use principles. However, we take copyright violations seriously and will respond promptly to valid DMCA takedown notices.

2. How to File a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you are a copyright owner or an authorized agent and believe that material on Comicso.com infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our Designated Copyright Agent containing the following information (see 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):

4 Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address.
5 A good faith belief statement that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6 A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.

[Your address if you have one – otherwise remove this line]

3. Our Response to Valid Notices

Upon receiving a complete and valid DMCA takedown notice, we will:

  • Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material within a reasonable time (typically 2-5 business days).

  • Notify the affected party (if possible) that the material has been removed.

  • Keep a record of the notice for legal purposes.

We may also terminate access for repeat infringers (see Section 6).

4. Counter-Notification Procedure

If you believe that material you posted or linked to was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a Counter-Notification. This applies only if you are the original uploader (though Comicso.com has no user accounts) or if you have legal rights to the content.

To file a counter-notification, please provide:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.

  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal (URL).

  3. statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification.

  4. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.

  5. statement consenting to jurisdiction of the Federal District Court in your judicial district (or France if outside the US) and that you will accept service of process from the original complainant.

Send counter-notifications to:

Email: [email protected]

Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we will:

  • Forward a copy to the original complainant.

  • Wait 10-14 business days for the complainant to notify us they have filed a court action.

  • If no court action is filed, we may restore the removed material.

5. Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with the DMCA, Comicso.com maintains a repeat infringer policy. We will:

  • Track DMCA notices received.

  • Terminate access (block IP addresses or deny service) to users who are subject to three (3) or more valid DMCA notices.

  • Reserve the right to terminate access after one (1) notice for egregious or intentional infringement.

Because our site does not have user accounts, “termination” means blocking the offending IP address(es) or removing access to the specific content permanently.

6. False Claims

Warning: Knowingly materially misrepresenting that content is infringing (or that it was removed by mistake) makes you liable for damages (including costs and attorneys’ fees) under Section 512(f) of the DMCA. File notices in good faith.
