In a world where super-powered heroes fight extradimensional monsters, Hyunsoo is just a puny supporter without any powers. A nobody. The kind of person who watches the real heroes from the sidelines.
Then a god-like grandmaster named Chunma from the medieval past shows up out of nowhere. Visible to no one else, this ancient warrior becomes Hyunsoo’s teacher.
The problem? Chunma is the worst backseat gamer imaginable.
He shouts critiques during fights. He micromanages every punch and kick. He has an opinion about everything and the filter of a medieval warlord. And nobody else can see or hear him, so to the outside world, Hyunsoo just looks like a kid talking to himself while getting beaten up.
But Chunma’s teachings work. Hyunsoo develops real power. Real enough to force him into the front lines against the monsters he was supposed to watch from afar.
Now Hyunsoo is fighting for his life with an invisible, insufferable, all-powerful coach screaming advice in his ear.
Can he survive the monsters, the other heroes, and his own master’s relentless commentary?
