After 12 years of horrible nightmares that prevent him from getting sleep, Ujin Kim is exhausted. Night after night, he is hunted by demons, torn apart by monsters, and wakes up screaming. Doctors cannot help him. Medications do nothing. He has not had a full night’s rest in over a decade.
Then he dies.
Ujin wakes up to find himself in the world from his nightmares. The same demons. The same monsters. The same endless terror that haunted his sleep for twelve years.
But this time it is real.
Surrounded by demons of all kinds, he quickly realizes that he has been reincarnated into the body of a mercenary. Scars on his hands. A sword at his side. Blood under his fingernails. This body has killed before.
He heads out to find civilization and quickly learns that this is a world filled with magic, a Church fighting the demons, and all sorts of sketchy characters. The nightmares were not nightmares. They were memories. Rehearsals for a life he was always meant to live.
But hey, at least he is finally able to get some sleep.
