Fernan Fallenberg, heir to the Empire’s most prestigious household and a prodigy of the Imperial Academy, was infamous for valuing everything by money and keeping others at a distance. A noble brat with a golden spoon and a cold heart, he measured the worth of people in gold coins and saw relationships as transactions.
Then one day, he is struck by lightning.
A foreign presence tries to invade his mind, forcing its way into his thoughts. Fernan resists. He fights back with everything he has, refusing to let anyone or anything take control of his head. His will is iron, and the invader cannot break through.
But the resistance has consequences. Instead of being possessed, he witnesses the Book of Prophecies reveal itself. Pages of divine text flash before his eyes, foretelling the world’s end. Disaster. Destruction. The collapse of everything he knows.
Now Fernan Fallenberg, who once cared only for money and status, is the only one who knows what is coming. He sees visions of the future. He reads prophecies that no one else can see.
And he has to stop the apocalypse, whether he wants to or not.
