After cruelly executing the wicked ghosts that killed his parents, a young boy named Lee-se is branded as a monster by his village. He was just a child who lost everything. He was just a boy who wanted revenge. But the villagers saw something else. They saw a demon. They saw a curse. They saw a boy who killed and enjoyed it.
Having lost all attachment to life, Lee-se meets Mong-ryeon, a goblin and ghost hunter, and adopts a new goal: to exterminate all ghosts from the world. He has nothing left to lose. No home to return to. No future to look forward to. Only a purpose that gives him a reason to wake up.
As they begin living together, Mong-ryeon discovers a unique trait in Lee-se and sends him to Daemudo, a cultivation sect known as the executioners of the cultivation world. A place where monsters are trained to hunt monsters. A place where the boy who was called a demon can become the one who destroys demons.
