The dark blade Gruhorn, constant companion to heroes throughout the ages. Knights carried it into battle. Rebels wielded it against tyrants. Slayers used it to cut down monsters. Every wielder became a legend, their names etched into history alongside the sentient blade that chose them.
Centuries after being claimed by the first hero, Gruhorn winds up in the clutches of his descendant: a greedy, greasy, bratty lout of a first prince. A man who has never worked for anything. A man who has never earned respect. A man who uses the legendary blade as a decoration while his kingdom crumbles around him.
Then the prince falls onto the blade. A clumsy accident. A moment of stupidity.
And Gruhorn becomes him.
The sentient sword that has witnessed centuries of heroism is now trapped inside the body of the most useless prince in history. A body that is weak. A reputation that is trash. A court that despises him.
But Gruhorn has seen heroes rise from nothing. He has guided legends from the shadows. And now he has the chance to be the hero himself.
Is this new body a prison, or a chance for the legendary blade to become something he has never been?
